In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, fabricating, and preparing glass and related materials for installation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all glass components meet precise specifications and quality standards, contributing to the seamless execution of construction and remodeling projects. This position offers an energetic environment where craftsmanship, attention to detail, and safety are paramount. Whether working on custom glass fixtures or large-scale installations, your skills will help bring architectural visions to life with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities Measure and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine glass dimensions and fabrication requirements Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to cut, shape, and fabricate glass panels and components with accuracy Prepare glass for installation by trimming, caulking, polishing, and finishing edges to meet project specifications Assist with the installation of glass fixtures, cabinets, doors, mirrors, and other architectural elements on construction sites or in fabrication shops Perform heavy lifting safely to move large or heavy glass sheets and materials during fabrication or installation processes Maintain a clean and organized workspace by properly storing tools, materials, and waste materials in accordance with safety protocols Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper integration of glass components within framing, metal stud framing, or trim carpentry tasks while adhering to schematics and blueprints Qualifications Proven experience in glass cutting, fabrication, or installation within construction or remodeling environments Skilled in using hand tools such as glass cutters, chisels, grinders, as well as power tools like drills and saws Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to material needs and project scope Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Familiarity with construction site safety procedures including heavy lifting techniques and personal protective equipment (PPE) use Experience with fixture installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, metal stud framing, or remodeling projects is highly desirable Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods; capable of working at heights if required Join us in creating stunning architectural features by applying your craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment that values quality work!
