Modern office settingResponsibilities:
- Install and repair glass in windows, skylights, storefronts, and other structures
- Measure and cut glass to specified dimensions
- Remove broken or damaged glass and prepare surfaces for installation
- Fabricate and install metal frames for glass installation
- Install weatherstripping, caulking, or other sealants to ensure a watertight seal
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine glass sizes and specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and smooth glass edges
- Hang doors and install door hardware
- Install fixtures such as mirrors, shelves, and shower doors
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a glazier or similar role
- Strong knowledge of glass installation techniques and materials
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods of time
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
