Duties Measure window openings accurately using blueprint reading and schematics to ensure proper fitment. Remove old windows carefully, employing hand tools, power tools, and proper safety procedures. Fabricate or modify window components as needed, utilizing carpentry, , and fabrication techniques. Install new windows securely, ensuring proper caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and door hanging when applicable. Seal windows with caulking to prevent air and water leaks, maintaining energy efficiency standards. Perform heavy lifting of window units and related materials safely while adhering to safety protocols. Complete remodeling tasks such as framing, drywall repair, painting touch-ups, and metal stud framing to prepare spaces for window installation. Requirements Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on window or glass installation preferred. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading is essential. Knowledge of blueprint reading, fabrication processes, and schematic interpretation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday. Familiarity with construction estimating, remodeling techniques, and handyman experience is a plus. Strong understanding of caulking techniques, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and fixture setup. Experience with construction painting, metal stud framing, assembly work, and door hanging is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication on job site tasks.
