Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Insulation Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of insulation materials across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently on diverse job sites. Experience with blueprint reading, construction estimating, and mechanical systems is highly valued to ensure precise installation and project success. Duties Measure, cut, and install insulation materials such as fiberglass, spray foam, mineral wool, and foam board in walls, ceilings, attics, and crawl spaces. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine insulation specifications. Utilize hand tools (e.g., knives, tape measures) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) safely and effectively during installation. Assist with fabrication of insulation components to fit specific areas or custom requirements. Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure insulation is properly sealed against air leaks. Collaborate with other trades such as HVAC technicians, masons, carpenters, and roofers to coordinate work efforts. Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and organizing tools and supplies. Follow all safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injuries on-site. Requirements Proven experience in construction site work with knowledge of insulation installation techniques. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction projects. Knowledge of related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry), roofing, masonry, drywall finishing, stucco application, framing (metal stud framing), HVAC systems, concrete finishing, plastering, and construction painting is advantageous. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately. Mechanical aptitude with fabrication skills for custom insulation solutions. Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials safely. Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety standards. Certification or training in caulking or airless paint spraying is a plus but not required.
