Insulation Installer AARCO - American Attic Re-Insulation Company Bartlett, IL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $33 - $40 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Paid time off On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Tools provided Qualifications Class D Power tools Installing insulation Hand tools Full Job Description AARCO is seeking experienced and dependable individuals to join our growing attic insulation and team. This position focuses primarily on residential attic and home insulation systems, including insulation removal, air sealing, ventilation improvements, attic access construction and related retrofit work. This is physically demanding work performed in attic environments year-round, including during elevated summer temperatures. Ideal candidates should be comfortable working in confined spaces, on ladders and in construction-type environments while maintaining professionalism in occupied residential homes. Some prior insulation experience (or similar) is required. Responsibilities
  • Remove existing attic insulation using commercial insulation removal equipment
  • Install fiberglass batt and loose-fill insulation systems to specified R-values
  • Perform attic air sealing using foam sealants and related materials
  • Install attic ventilation components including baffles, blocking and attic fans
  • Construct attic walkways, storage platforms and insulation retaining barriers as needed
  • Assist with bathroom exhaust vent routing and basic attic ventilation modifications
  • Safely operate commercial grade insulation blowing and removal equipment
  • Load, unload and transport materials and equipment to and from job sites
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites throughout the installation process
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners during residential project
  • Follow company safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times Requirements
  • Valid driver's license (Class D or higher)
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment repeatedly throughout the workday
  • Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, on ladders and in high-heat environments
  • Comfortable using hand tools and basic power tools
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Ability to work as part of a crew in fast-paced environments
  • Construction, roofing, HVAC, insulation or weatherization experience is a plus Preferred Experience
  • Fiberglass insulation installation
  • Attic ventilation systems
  • Air sealing and weatherization work
  • Residential construction or remodeling
  • Insulation blowing machine operation
