Construction Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Insulator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in insulation, air sealing, caulking, painting, drywalling, and carpentry.
Responsibilities:
Install insulation in buildings to help control and maintain temperature Install various types of insulation such as fiberglass, spray foam, cellulose and rigid foam board Caulking and weatherstripping openings such as doors and windows Apply insulation around ducts, pipes, boilers, and tanks Maintain work equipment and vehicles Anticipate equipment and material needs ahead of time Communicate in a timely and professional manner with co-workers, customers, and supervisors
Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent teamwork, communication, and listening skills Strong leadership qualities Organized with strong attention to detail Comprehensive understanding of construction-related activities Proficiency in operating tools and equipment used to weatherize buildings Ability to foster a positive team environment Ability to read and follow work orders and other construction documents Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations Strength, dexterity, and stamina needed to perform physical tasks
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Insulator or similar role Familiarity with building construction for insulation purposes Ability to work on construction sites as part of a team Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Work is tight spaces such as attics, and crawl spaces If you are a dedicated Insulator with a passion for creating energy-efficient spaces through proper insulation techniques, we encourage you to apply.
