Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Insulation / Scaffolding Estimator to join our construction team. This role involves preparing accurate and competitive estimates for insulation and scaffolding projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications, budgets, and timelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in construction estimating, project management, and cost control, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects while utilizing advanced estimating tools and techniques. Duties Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical insulation and scaffolding projects using industry-standard software and company templates Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop accurate pricing strategies. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to negotiate terms, scope, and pricing to ensure competitive bids. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather on-site data for precise estimating. Manage bid submissions, ensuring all documentation is complete and submitted on time. Monitor project costs during execution to support cost control initiatives and identify potential overruns early. Assist in contract negotiations and review contractual obligations related to scope of work, safety standards, and project timelines. Coordinate with procurement teams to source materials and labor efficiently while maintaining budget constraints. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials pricing, and construction regulations relevant to insulation and scaffolding projects. Pay will be based on experience and knowledge. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on mechanical insulation or scaffolding projects. Strong proficiency in estimating software. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms while maintaining professional relationships. Solid understanding of construction site operations, safety standards, and project management principles. Knowledge of contracts, scope development, pricing strategies, and cost control techniques within the construction industry. Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams. Construction site experience is preferred to better understand field conditions impacting estimates. This position is integral to the successful delivery of our projects by ensuring accurate estimations that align with client expectations while maintaining profitability through effective cost management practices. Understanding of mechanical insulation insulation of ducts, pipes, tanks, vessels, and all other mechanical sytems. Understanding and certified in scaffolding. Ability to prioritize, multitask, work with the team, and customers on a daily basis.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
