Job Summary An Industrial Insulation Foreman oversees a team of industrial metal men (mechanics) & insulators, coordinating and supervising the installation, maintenance, and repair of insulation systems in industrial settings. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership and project management responsibilities to ensure the efficient and safe completion of insulation projects. The foreman is responsible for ensuring that all work is done in compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines. Required to work multi-craft (Scaffolding Support, Painting/Blasting Support, Light Construction Support) when needed.

4/10s Key Responsibilities Supervise a team of industrial insulators, ensuring they are properly trained, equipped, and focused on completing tasks safely and efficiently. Assign daily work tasks to crew members based on project needs, skill levels, and work schedules. Ability to inspect refinery environment & initiate discovery work with Project Manager. Assess proper insulation materials depending on job scope. Plan and coordinate insulation installation and maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Direct daily crew assignments, review JSAs, verify tools and equipment are ready, monitor productivity, correct unsafe behavior, report progress, and escalate issues. Communicate with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of insulation work with other construction or maintenance tasks. Ensure the quality of insulation work meets project specifications and safety standards. Inspect finished installations to ensure proper fitting, insulation density, and adherence to safety codes and regulations. Address any deficiencies or issues that arise, directing the team to make corrections as needed. Ensures crew starts on time, understands the task, works safely, avoids idle time, and communicates issues before they become delays. Installation of Insulation Materials :
Apply insulation to pipes, tanks, ducts, and machinery in industrial settings to maintain temperature, reduce energy consumption, and prevent heat loss or gain. Ensure Proper Fitment :
Ensure that insulation is installed correctly to prevent gaps, which could reduce efficiency and safety. Energy Efficiency :
Focus on improving energy conservation by ensuring proper installation and minimizing heat loss or gain in industrial systems, reducing operational costs. Fire Protection :
Install fire-resistant insulation where necessary to prevent the spread of fire and protect equipment and workers. Safety Compliance :
Adhere to strict safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, respirators, and hearing protection. Ensure work is performed according to OSHA and other relevant safety standards. Inspect and Maintain Insulation :
Regularly inspect installed insulation for wear and damage, making repairs or replacements when needed to maintain system performance. Calcium Silicate Insulation Materials. Inventory:

Tracking insulation installation production completion through tracking software systems. Work with Blueprints :
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, or technical drawings to understand insulation requirements for specific industrial applications. Collaboration :
Work with other tradespeople such as pipefitters, electricians, scaffold builders, painter/blasters, laborers, and maintenance teams to ensure the proper installation of insulation materials in complex systems. Experience Requirements At least 3-7 years of hands-on experience in industrial insulation, with at least 2 years in leadership or supervisory role. Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Reads blueprints and selects required insulation material. Work at heights with no fear. Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive application to insulation material. Determine the amounts and select required insulation material (Calcium Silicate) (in sheet, tubular, or roll form), such as fiberglass, foam rubber, Styrofoam, cork, and urethane, based on the material's ability to retain heat, location, surface, shape, and equipment use. Using tape measure or other measuring device, measure and cut insulation material to specified size and shape for covering flat or round surfaces, using handsaw, knife, or scissors. Fit, wrap, or attach required insulation material around or to the structure, following blueprint specifications. Cover or seal insulation with preformed plastic covers, canvas strips, sealant, or tape to secure insulation to the structure, according to the type of insulation used and structure covered, using a staple gun, trowel, paintbrush, or caulking gun. Education - no minimum education requirements. Experience - 4 years of experience in insulation is preferred. Local Requirements:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee could be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to high, precarious locations such as towers (up to 300ft.). They may be required to work in extreme cold and extreme heat and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Their work may involve risks to hazards such as: working around moving mechanical parts; risk of electrical shock; explosives and vibration. The noise level in the work environment may exceed 85dB and will require the use of hearing protection. Physical Demands:
