Mechanical Insulation Estimator

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mechanical Insulation Estimator to join our growing construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs related to mechanical insulation projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Duties Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work to develop precise estimates for mechanical insulation installations Utilize estimating software such as Fastwrap to prepare detailed cost proposals and bid packages Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and negotiate terms effectively Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, gather measurements, and verify scope accuracy Prepare comprehensive takeoffs and pricing strategies that include material costs, labor estimates, equipment needs, and supplier quotes Monitor project budgets during execution to ensure cost control and identify potential overruns early Assist in contract negotiations by reviewing terms, scope changes, and ensuring compliance with project specifications Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on mechanical insulation or related trades Familiarity with Fastwrap or similar estimating software is highly desirable Solid understanding of construction management principles, contracts, and project management workflows Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors Hands-on construction site experience to accurately assess conditions and scope adjustments Knowledge of cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and budget tracking tools Effective communication skills to coordinate with teams and stakeholders across multiple projects Join us if you're ready to bring your estimation expertise into a vibrant construction environment where your skills directly impact project success!
