Manufacturing Full Job Description Summary:
The Case Prep Technician is responsible for conducting inspections and refurbishment of all transmission cases, housings, and pans. The Case Prep Technician will clean and inspect all threads and other components as necessary. Once complete the Case Prep Technician will paint the case and weld repair if necessary. This position must have the ability to read, follow and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. While performing the duties of this job, the Case Prep Technician is regularly required to stand for periods of time, and must also be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspects and refurbishes all transmission cases, pans and housings Interprets, and follows manufacturer instructions to reassemble transmission to product specifications. Ensures the highest levels of quality in work. Ability and knowledge of TIG welding a plus Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
