Job Description

Summary Join our dynamic team as a Prefab Shop Worker and be a vital part of the construction process! In this role, you will work in a prefab manufacturing environment, assembling and preparing building components for installation on-site. Your expertise will help streamline construction projects by creating high-quality prefabricated structures, ensuring efficiency, safety, and precision at every step. Role and Responsibilities The position includes the following roles and responsibilities: Assist with the assembly and fabrication of plumbing piping systems, supports, and related components Measure, cut, clean, label, and organize pipe, fittings, and materials for fabrication Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment under supervision Load, unload, stage, and transport materials within the shop and yard Read tape measures and assist with layout and material preparation Package, label, and prepare completed assemblies for delivery to job sites Maintain inventory and assist with receiving and organizing incoming materials Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment Work cooperatively with Prefab Technicians, Shop Leads, Drivers, Warehouse Personnel, and Field Teams Assist with quality control inspections of completed assemblies Perform general shop duties and other tasks as assigned Physical Requirements Will regularly work near moving mechanical parts, power tools, and fabrication equipment Must be able to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and noise Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive hand movements Requires good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Noise level can be generally loud Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced shop environment Excellent stamina and reliability are required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Construction, warehouse, manufacturing, or trade experience preferred but not required Basic understanding of hand and power tools Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license preferred Additional Notes Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers Ability to stay organized and maintain attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a production environment Able to identify and resolve basic problems with guidance from supervisors Demonstrates dependability, punctuality, and a positive attitude Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace Wages offered will be determined dependent upon experience.
