Job Description

Shop Helper Chatsworth, CA Full time - Temp to hire Monday through Friday - 6am to 2:30pm $18hr to $20hr depending on experience. A recognized leader in the seismic protection industry since 1966, specializes in the design and manufacturing of spring isolators, seismic rails, structural steel frames, equipment bases, vibration pads, hangers, and other engineered custom solutions is seeking a Shop Helper to join their team in Chatsworth.
Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Shop Helper to join our manufacturing team in Chatsworth. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in metal fabrication and industrial manufacturing. The Shop Helper will support daily shop operations and assist skilled fabricators and assemblers.
Responsibilities:
Assist with cutting metal using shop equipment and tools. Maintain shop cleanliness and organization. (sweeping, debris removal, material staging) Support basic assembly of components under supervision. Assist fabrication team with material handling and preparation. Load and unload materials as needed. Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines. Perform other general shop duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn fabrication processes. Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic measurements. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Strong work ethic and reliable attendance. Prior shop experience.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
