Craft and Technical Solutions is an established Marine and Industrial Staffing Company with offices all over the country. We are currently looking for experienced Waysmen to join our team in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities Build, install, and dismantle blocking, shoring, and cribbing to support vessels or heavy structures. Lay out and maintain keel blocks, bilge blocks, and other support systems for ship docking and launching. Assist with dry dock operations, including positioning vessels safely and accurately. Use measuring tools and alignment equipment to ensure proper placement and structural balance. Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed. Inspect and maintain ways, rails, and support structures for safety and functionality. Work closely with riggers, welders, and shipfitters to coordinate movement and positioning of vessels. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and structural failures. Assist in moving vessels or large components using rollers, tracks, or hydraulic systems. Perform general labor duties as required to support shipyard or industrial operations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in shipyard, construction, or heavy industrial environments is strongly preferred. Knowledge of blocking, rigging, and structural support systems. Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and layout plans. Familiarity with measuring tools (levels, transits, tape measures, etc.). Strong understanding of workplace safety standards. Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting, climbing, and working outdoors.
