Job Description:
Facilitates all aspects of team readiness for surgical procedures, including room setup, instrumentation, equipment, and supplies. Collaborates with pre-op nurses and anesthesia team to ensure patient readiness. Assists team with safe and appropriate operating room turnover times and directs ancillary personnel participating in room turnover. Monitors first case start and turnover times to ensure goals are met and makes rounds during the shift to ensure efficient progress of cases. Works with PACU leadership to ensure space availability and maintain throughput, communicating with senior leadership if O.R. is put on hold for PACU bed availability. Manages and maintains all Doctor Preference Cards for the specialty to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assesses capital purchase needs for the specialty and works with the leadership team to prioritize purchases. Communicates with physicians and surgery team members regarding product requests and is involved in unit-department based budgeting and support of the budget. Oversees other healthcare team members in the surgical environment, assisting with orientation, training, and education of new personnel. Participates in interviewing, makes recommendations for hiring, and collaborates with the Nurse Manager on performance appraisals. Acts as a liaison between departments regarding orders, instrumentation, scheduling, and various surgical patient care issues. Demonstrates the ability to perform in the role of surgical scrub by anticipating the needs of the surgeon and keeping the circulating nurse informed of any needs throughout a procedure. Performs other duties as assigned.

Full-Time Shift:
Days $10,000 Sign-on Bonus and $3,000 Relocation Bonus for eligible applicants

12-month Employment Contract Required for Sign-On and Relocation.

- Must live 50 miles outside of campus address.
- AdventHealth Orlando Cardiovascular Surgery has 7 CVOR's and one hybrid one.
- We perform a full array of cardiovascular surgeries including bypass, valve replacement/repair, TAVR, heart transplant, lung transplant, multiorgan transplant, VAD insertions, impella transplant, ECMO and pediatric congenitial heart procedures. Ventricular assist device, Implella insertion, Aordic aneurysm repair & aordic disection
- The thoracic line has 3 OR's, one equipped with a Davinci XI robot.
- A variety of lung esophageal, and chest procedures are done including HIOC (heated intraoperative chemotherapy) cases for mesothelioma.
- We performed over 3,600 Cardiovascular and thoracic specific surgeries last year. Our Cardiovascular program is recognized as an ELSO Center of excellence for both adults and pediatrics, has a Nationally accredited TAVR program, and our heart transplant team is ranked 5 th in the nation.

- 2+ years of experience in the clinical setting related to area of specialty [Required]
- 3+ years of experience in a healthcare leadership/management role [Preferred]
- 3+ years' experience in a healthcare leadership/management role [Preferred]
- Experience in current performance improvement frameworks and methodologies [Preferred]
