Steel Detailer

Description Produce detailed shop drawings from provided design drawings for shop fabrication.

• Typical detailed components will include: support steel, platework, panels, stairs, and walkway access.
• Generate erection drawings for job site assembly.
• Create material cut lists and burn table templates from design drawings for the shop.
• Ability to detail basic AISC standard connections based upon engineer provided loads is beneficial. • 5+ years of experience in steel platework fabrication and/or structural steel fabrication industries.
• AutoCAD proficiency with an emphasis in 2D detailing, although 3D experience is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication, welding, and bolting.
• Excellent math skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Vocational training in drafting is preferred, but not required with consideration of proven work history. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pensacola, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00
