In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and maintaining standing seam metal roofing systems that are both durable and visually appealing. Your expertise will ensure high-quality craftsmanship, safety compliance, and efficient project completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced fabrication techniques and precision measurement tools to deliver exceptional results. Duties Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately assemble standing seam metal roofing systems. Operate a variety of machinery including CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining equipment to cut, shape, and fabricate sheet metal components. Use hand tools and fabrication equipment to assemble metal panels with precision, ensuring proper fit and finish according to project standards. Install standing seam metal roofing panels on structures using cranes, scaffolding, and other lifting equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct quality inspections utilizing micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and visual checks to verify dimensional accuracy and surface integrity. Maintain detailed documentation of fabrication processes, measurements, and inspection results for quality assurance purposes. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machining or installation issues promptly and efficiently. Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings related to sheet metal fabrication. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating CNC machinery such as laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and press brake machines. Skilled in welding techniques and assembly of metal components with attention to detail. Familiarity with manufacturing processes including tooling setup and maintenance. Ability to use basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication. Knowledge of quality inspection procedures using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
