Job Description
Metal Worker We are searching for a skilled Metal Worker to join our team in Atlanta. As a Metal Worker, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal structures and objects using various techniques, such as welding, cutting, and shaping. You will work with a variety of metals, including steel, aluminum, and copper, to create custom pieces according to client specifications. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1200 per month.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or design plans to determine project requirements
- Measure and mark metal pieces for cutting and shaping
- Use various machinery and tools to cut, bend, shape, or weld metal pieces
- Join metal pieces by welding or using other bonding techniques
- Inspect finished products for quality and ensure they meet client standards
- Collaborate with other team members on projects as needed
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school training preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Metal Worker or in a similar role
- Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG) required; experience with CNC plasma cutting a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Good understanding of different types of metals and their properties
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects as needed
