Fabricator / Welder We're hiring a versatile Fabricator/Welder to help build large industrial equipment from the ground up. This role is ideal for candidates with hands‑on mechanical ability , welding experience, and interest in fabrication and CNC work—even if you're not an expert yet. 🔧 What You'll Do Assist with layout and assembly of large industrial frames and equipment Perform MIG and TIG welding , primarily on stainless steel and carbon steel Fabricate, weld, grind, polish, and form metal components Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layouts Install mechanical hardware and basic wiring Operate and maintain fabrication equipment and hand tools Support CNC plasma table operations (setup, operation, basic programming) Cut, bend, and prepare steel for fabrication projects Help manage steel inventory, labeling, organization, and cycle counts Work closely with teammates to meet quality and production goals Training is available to continue developing welding, fabrication, and CNC skills. ✔️ What We're Looking For 1+ year of welding experience (MIG and/or TIG) 1+ year of mechanical or hands‑on work experience Ability to read blueprints Ability to lift 50 lbs Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail ⭐ Nice to Have CNC machine or plasma table experience Fabrication or machine‑shop experience Experience with SMAW, GTAW, or GMAW welding Mechanical assembly experience Comfort using tape measures and shop tools 🏭 Work Environment Clean, well‑organized machine shop Team‑based, family‑oriented culture Hands‑on builds from layout through final assembly Multiple fabrication stations, weld bays, and CNC areas

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
