This role combines hands-on fabrication, welding expertise, and project supervision to ensure that all structural steel, sheet metal, and related components are installed efficiently and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate mechanical aptitude, and possess a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship. Duties Superinentent, interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and installation processes. Perform
MIG, TIG, FCAW
(Flux-Cored Arc Welding), welding Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and press brake machines for fabrication and assembly tasks. Operate forklifts, rigging equipment, and other machinery safely to move heavy materials and components on-site. Measure materials accurately Lead installation of structural steel Supervise team members ensuring adherence to safety protocols while maintaining project timelines. Conduct quality inspections using basic math skills to verify dimensions and tolerances; troubleshoot fabrication issues proactively. Coordinate with project managers to schedule tasks efficiently while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and ASME standards. Skills Extensive construction site experience with a focus on structural steel installation and welding techniques. Proficiency in
MIG, TIG, FCAW
welding processes; experience with welding preferred. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical drawings. Ability to operate rigging equipment, forklifts and power tools safely. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing welding and fabrication practices. Competence in basic math calculations necessary for measurements and quality control inspections. Effective communicator capable of leading teams while maintaining high safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
