Position Overview - Installation Technician We are seeking an Installation Technician to join our team in Caldwell, ID. This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn, enjoy hands‑on fabrication work, and are looking for long‑term growth opportunities within a global manufacturing organization. This role requires approximately 75% travel, typically on a two‑week rotation, supporting on‑site fabrication and installation projects across customer locations. As an Installation Technician, you will work with stainless steel equipment used in the food processing industry, contributing to high‑quality custom builds and installations.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform TIG welding, grinding, and stainless steel fabrication activities Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Plan and organize fabrication work efficiently and accurately Cut, roll, shape, bend, and assemble metal components Modify parts and assemblies to meet precise specifications Finish equipment by cleaning and polishing surfaces Assist with on‑site installation and troubleshooting at customer locations Diagnose issues and perform repairs as needed Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe work environment Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of welding or fabrication experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills Ability to read and apply blueprints and fabrication drawings Experience with standard metalworking equipment (Oxy‑acetylene, Plasma cutting, Iron worker, Drill press, Press brake, Shear) Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexibility to work overtime and adapt to changing schedules Commitment to following company policies and safety procedures Preferred (not required): Lean manufacturing experience Food processing industry experience Travel & Work Environment:
