Job Description

TIG Welder responsible for laying out, fitting, welding, cutting, deburring, and inspecting metal components according to standard work and welding requirements. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 2-5 years of welding or related manufacturing experience TIG welding experience Ability to read and write in English Basic computer literacy using Microsoft Windows Basic math skills Ability to use basic measurement equipment, including rulers, scales, calipers, and tape measures Ability to use hand tools, including wire strippers, pliers, wrenches, and related tools Ability to lay out, measure, and align metal workpieces prior to welding Ability to assess weld quality against applicable welding codes and requirements Preferred Skills Standard weld qualifications for stainless steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel to carbon steel Experience operating a Value Stream workstation Experience using 5S methods in a manufacturing environment Experience cutting and deburring metal components Experience fitting and setting up welding tools and equipment Job Responsibilities Lay out, measure, and align metal workpieces prior to welding using straightedges, rules, and calipers Perform TIG welding on metal components according to standard work requirements Cut and deburr metal components as needed Inspect welds to ensure they are clean, accurate, and free of defects Verify welds meet applicable welding codes and quality requirements Fit, set up, and operate tools and equipment required for welding operations Operate Value Stream workstation equipment as assigned Maintain required weld qualifications for stainless steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel to carbon steel Use basic measurement tools to verify dimensions and alignment Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S methods
Pay:
