Position Brand Description:
The Central Maintenance Shop provides sheet metal, plastic, welding, design, fabrication, and maintenance support for M&Q customers, to include development research, manufacturing, utilities and administrative for all buildings. This position is responsible for providing welding maintenance, repair, design and fabrication services for customer owned and facilities support equipment.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
Welds and repairs pressure vessel, which Pressure Vessel Services have indicated, needs repairing utilizing a minimum of 8 GMAW semi auto, SMAW manual, GTAW manual and GTAW automatic weld processes to maintain tank integrity to meet ASME codes Welds and repairs pipe and fittings required by Pipe fitters and RAC Mechanics utilizing a minimum of 8 MIG, TIG, Stick, and Oxygen/Acetylene processes to maintain validation and integrity of water, steam, and air systems. The Welder will support coil replacement associated with heating and cooling systems. Welds and repairs production, research, utilizes equipment and components including non-pressurized vessels and pots which require GMP/GLP validation utilizing MIG, TIG, Stick processes to include Oxygen/Acetylene. Utilize a variety of specialized techniques to provide welding support for sheet metal fabrication and machining of materials. Required to assist other crafts and shops and provide basic sheet metal fabrication support, such as fabricating boxes, frames, cages, racks, and panels. Effectively utilize specialized equipment and techniques in the application of Electro-polishing and mechanical polishing of stainless steel piping, fittings, tubing and tanks. Supports and participates in Root Cause Analysis and all Pro-Active Asset management (PAM) and Conduct of Maintenance processes. Ensure a safe working environment by following safety rules and helping improve the safety culture. Ability to work with engineers, production personnel, and customers to overcome assembly hurdles. Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, uniformity, and quality. Be able to make decisions under pressure and deliver assignments on schedule at best value. Think creatively and work well without much guidance from customer or management.
Additional Preferences:
This position requires the utilization of different data systems to include Maximo, Workday and LillyNow to enter work order time entry and closing notes, access safety manuals, MSDS sheets, training enrollment, time entry and absence reporting, benefits, career, personal information, job posting and resumes. This position will actively participate in the performance management process, working closely with immediate supervisor to develop an effective performance and development plan. This position will be required to maintain a variety of welding certifications and will be required to assist others to achieve certifications. Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of welding trade experience Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Education Requirements:
High School Graduate or GED.
Other Information:
Full Time / Day Shift; some overtime required. Monday through Friday. Flex time may be available based on individual need and work schedules. Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $21.27 - $41.25 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
