Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Steel Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting structural steel components for a variety of construction and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with steel fabrication, a strong understanding of blueprints, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. If you are passionate about precision and building durable structures, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine assembly requirements. Cut, align, and fit structural steel components to exact specifications using tools such as torches, grinders, and measuring devices. Perform welding, bolting, and riveting to securely assemble steel structures. Inspect finished products for accuracy and ensure all components meet quality standards. Collaborate with team members, including welders and engineers, to ensure efficient workflow and problem-solving. Operate hoists, cranes, and other equipment to position and secure steel parts during assembly. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Qualifications Proven experience as a Structural Steel Fitter or in a similar role. Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and drawings with a high degree of accuracy. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Knowledge of welding techniques and metalwork processes. Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations. Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy materials and perform tasks in various environments. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Certification in welding or steel fabrication is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is preferred.
