About the
Role:
As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into precise, finished components using a range of fabrication machinery and tools. You will work closely with supervisors and fellow team members to interpret blueprints, plan layouts, and complete fabrication tasks to exact specifications. Your work will have a direct impact on product quality, delivery timelines, and overall shop performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate fabrication machinery including press brakes, shears, and rollers to form and cut metal components according to specifications. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine material requirements, dimensions, and fabrication methods. Perform accurate measurement, layout, and marking of materials to ensure precision cutting and forming. Use hand and power tools for cutting, grinding, drilling, and finishing metal parts to required tolerances. Set up, adjust, and maintain fabrication equipment to support consistent, high-quality output. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow, resolve production issues, and meet daily targets. Inspect completed parts for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications, making adjustments as needed. Follow all safety procedures, use appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment operating press brakes, shears, and rollers. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication instructions. Demonstrated skill in precise measurement, layout, and cutting of metal materials. Proficiency with common metalworking hand and power tools (e.g., grinders, drills, saws). Solid understanding of industrial safety practices and consistent use of PPE. Ability to work effectively within a team, communicate clearly, and follow direction. Capacity to stand for extended periods, lift materials as required, and perform physically demanding tasks. Reliable, punctual work habits and attention to detail in a production setting.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with basic welding or tack welding to support fabrication tasks. Familiarity with CNC-controlled fabrication equipment or automated machinery. Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments. Experience performing basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Previous work in a high-volume or custom fabrication shop.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Formal training or apprenticeship in metal fabrication, machining, or a related trade preferred. Safety-related training or certifications in industrial or manufacturing environments advantageous. Any relevant vocational or technical school coursework in fabrication or manufacturing is a plus.
Pay:
$24.72 - $28.00 per hour
