Pay:
$23.00-$24.00/hr
Location:
Baton Rouge, LA Area A leading structural steel contractor is seeking dependable Ironworker Helpers to assist with commercial steel erection projects, including hotel and multi-story construction. This position offers a combination of shop work and occasional travel assignments. Responsibilities Assist with positioning and securing steel beams Bolt structural steel members together Work from scissor lifts and elevated work platforms Assist with rigging, signaling, and steel placement Support foremen and welders throughout the construction process Follow all company safety procedures Qualifications Construction experience preferred Comfortable working at heights Ability to use hand and power tools Ability to lift 50+ pounds Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Reliable transportation Compensation & Benefits $23.00-$24.00/hr $60/day per diem during travel assignments Hotel accommodations provided Overtime available Opportunity for advancement into skilled ironworker roles Additional Information Travel projects typically last 4-5 days Hotel accommodations provided during travel Per diem paid for overnight assignments Stable work with overtime opportunities Commercial structural steel projects throughout the region Equal Opportunity Employer.
