NSC Staffing Position Overview NSC Staffing is hiring experienced Aluminum MIG (GMAW) Structural Welders for indoor shipyard work in New Orleans. This role supports U.S. Navy, Military Sealift Command (MSC), and commercial vessel projects, including new construction, repair, and modernization. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG (GMAW) aluminum structural welding Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings Complete structural repairs and new construction tasks Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools Maintain OSHA and shipyard safety compliance Assist or lead helpers when needed Qualifications 5+ years of shipyard welding experience Strong experience with Aluminum MIG (GMAW) Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Familiar with shipyard environments and safety standards Weld Test Requirements Aluminum MIG weld test (fillet welds on T-joints and T-box setups) Machine setup verification and weld inspection required Work Environment Indoor shipyard and fabrication shop Fast-paced production supporting naval and commercial vessels Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401(k) Referral Bonuses Weekly Pay (Direct Deposit / Pay Card) OSHA Training Provided Long-Term Opportunities #MA50 How to
