Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Aluminum Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing advanced welding techniques and mechanical fabrication skills. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in aluminum welding, construction site experience, and a passion for precision craftsmanship. Your expertise will contribute directly to delivering high-quality metal structures that meet rigorous industry standards, ensuring safety, durability, and excellence in every project. Responsibilities Perform aluminum welding using MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW processes in accordance with AWS standards and project specifications. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and schematics to accurately fabricate and assemble components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and sheet metal fabrication equipment to shape and assemble aluminum structures. Conduct precise measurements with calipers, micrometers, and other shop math tools to ensure accurate fabrication and fit-up. Operate cranes, rigging equipment, forklifts, and pipe threading tools safely on construction sites or within fabrication shops. Interpret construction site plans and schematics to execute tasks efficiently while adhering to ASME codes & standards and OSHA safety protocols. Assist with mechanical fabrication tasks such as ductwork installation, pipe threading, soldering, and assembly of metal components. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while ensuring all safety procedures are followed during welding and fabrication activities. Experience Proven construction site experience with a focus on aluminum welding projects. Extensive hands-on experience with MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and gas metal arc welding techniques. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and mechanical blueprints for fabrication purposes. Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, shop math, and basic math skills for precise measurements. Experience operating rigging equipment, forklifts, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication tools within a manufacturing or construction environment. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to metal fabrication and welding procedures. Ability to work safely on construction sites or in shop environments while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship standards. Mechanical knowledge related to ductwork installation, pipe threading, sheet metal fabrication, assembly processes, and schematic interpretation is highly desirable.
