Job Description

MIG Welder We are seeking MIG Welders to join a growing manufacturing team in a shop-based production environment. This position is responsible for welding light-gauge metal components and assemblies used in commercial and industrial products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on MIG welding experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce clean, consistent welds on thinner-gauge material. Experience with stainless steel is helpful, but not required. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on light-gauge metal components and assemblies Weld primarily thin-gauge steel materials in a production shop environment Fit, tack, and weld parts according to drawings, work instructions, and production requirements Use basic fabrication tools, hand tools, grinders, clamps, and measuring equipment Inspect completed welds and parts for quality, accuracy, and consistency Read and interpret basic measurements, shop drawings, and work orders Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Follow safety procedures and quality standards Support general fabrication and production needs as assigned Qualifications Previous MIG welding experience required Experience welding sheet metal, light-gauge steel, or thin-gauge material preferred Stainless steel welding experience is a plus, but not required Ability to produce consistent welds with minimal burn-through or distortion Ability to read basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions Comfortable using basic shop tools and fabrication equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable attendance and ability to work well in a team environment Preferred Backgrounds Production welding Sheet metal fabrication Light-gauge metal fabrication Manufacturing or fabrication shop experience HVAC, ductwork, enclosure, cabinet, conveyor, or similar metal product fabrication Position Summary This is a hands-on welding role suited for someone who enjoys shop-based fabrication work and takes pride in producing quality parts. The work is steady, production-oriented, and focused on light-gauge metal welding rather than heavy structural or field welding.
Pay:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour
