Neilsoft Inc. (a 100% subsidiary of Neilsoft Limited) has been servicing North American customers for over 20 years and as part of our expansion plans are seeking to add new colleagues to our existing Technical teams in the US region. The Steel Detailer role is based out of our Canton, MI office and is a full‑time, on‑site position. Job Responsibilities:
Setting and maintaining client preferences and drawing standards
Should be able to generate shop and assembly drawings using Tekla /SDS2 software for the fabrication of various steel structure
Experience in Structural and Miscellaneous Steel modeling and checking against contract drawings
Should have exposure to client interaction and coordination
Should have knowledge about handling RFI's internal and client/contractor
Job Requirements:
Sound knowledge of AISC, NISD, IBC, CISC and OSHA standards of structural steel detailing
Self-motivated, able to assume responsibility, and able to handle teams.
Good communication with fluency in English and documentation skills.
Knowledge of Revit/Advance Steel/Bluebeam added advantage Soft Skills and Attributes
Motivated to take on challenges and develop expertise in industrial automation.
Customer-oriented mindset with a professional, service-driven attitude.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
Willingness to travel domestically (10-20%) and occasionally internationally for commissioning or support. Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
Internship or co-op experience in automation, system integration, or manufacturing environments.
Exposure to machine safety systems (PILZ, GuardLogix, Sick) or robotic integration.
Familiarity with panel design standards, documentation practices, and bill of materials preparation.
