This 1st shift (days) position is a wonderful opportunity to build world-class signage products with an industry leader. If you are new to welding and fabrication, no worries; we offer an excellent learning opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fabrication and welding industry. Our fabricators and welders work on projects for premier West Michigan-based companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with a team to fabricate custom signs Mig weld aluminum and steel into shapes Shearing and braking aluminum and steel Weld flat stock, extrusions, and pipe and tube Rolling and laying out materials based on drawings and specifications Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials accurately Operate welding machinery and tools according to safety guidelines Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy 6:00am - 2:30pm with some daily overtime (2 hours) including some Saturdays (6am-noon), No Sundays

REQUIREMENTS

Attention to detail A desire to be a great fabricator and welder Basic knowledge of fabrication and welding Carpentry experience a plus Comfortable working with a variety of tools and machinery Good problem-solving skills Basic math and measuring skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Able to read a tape measure
