$20.00 - $28.50 per hour Job Overview Lōdal is seeking a skilled Fabricator to support the manufacturing of heavy-duty refuse truck bodies, chassis components, and related assemblies. This role is critical to product quality, fit-up accuracy, and production efficiency. The ideal candidate has experience in metal fabrication, can read prints, and takes pride in building large welded steel components to a high standard. Responsibilities Fabricate steel components for refuse truck bodies, chassis, and related equipment Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, cut lists, and work instructions Measure, mark, cut, drill, and grind steel components to specification Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, ironworkers, press brakes, drills, plasma tables, and other shop tools Prepare parts and assemblies for welding and downstream production processes Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow 5S and shop organization standards Safely handle raw materials, large components, and fabricated assemblies Work closely with welding, paint, and assembly teams to support production flow Identify and report print issues, material issues, or process concerns Support continuous improvement in fabrication quality, safety, and efficiency Qualifications 2+ years of experience in metal fabrication, structural fabrication, or heavy equipment manufacturing Experience working with steel plate, structural steel, tubing, and formed parts Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and measuring tools accurately Experience using common fabrication equipment and hand tools Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of fit-up and dimensional accuracy Ability to work with large fabricated assemblies Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
