Job Description

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as En-Fold® Fabrication & Assembly Specialist.
Position Overview:
Perform the following as directed by the Operations Manager or others assigned by Management (the "Supervisor"). Follow CAD drawings, written and verbal instructions to fabricate and assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units into subassemblies, assemblies or other using hand tools and power tools. Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and function. Connect cables, tubes, and wiring according to specifications. Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Load, unload deliveries of materials, machinery, or tools and distribute them to appropriate locations, according to project plans, specifications or storage requirements in the warehouse as directed by the Supervisor. Inventory Parts
  • Receive, count, inspect, record, and maintain all parts in their proper location as directed by the Supervisor. Inventory Extrusions
  • Receive, count, inspect, record, and maintain a safe inventory of extruded aluminum as directed by the Supervisor. Inventory Drop
  • Count, record and maintain a safe inventory of extruded aluminum drop as directed by the Supervisor.
Tend and use pumps, compressors, motors, and hand and power tools in a safe manner as directed by the Supervisor. Follow and support safety policy's implementations/compliances with OSHA safety standards. Report all know safety issues immediately to the Supervisor. Follow UNI fabrication and assembly drawings and instructions as supplied by the Supervisor. Layout, cut, mill, drill, assemble, test, and load finished equipment onto trucks as assigned by the Supervisor and in accordance with UNI documented procedures. Use saws, mills, press, bench grinders, drill presses and other machinery in a safe manner as assigned by the Supervisor. Use forklifts, gantry cranes, pallet jacks, hoists, jacks, and other material handling equipment in a safe manner as assigned by the Supervisor. Lift items using proper technique that weigh up to 75 lbs. Keep a clean and safe warehouse with general cleaning and organization as assigned by the Supervisor. Provide final check of dimensions and notes on drawings prior to cutting and drilling as requested by the Supervisor. Notify Supervisor immediately if the use of incorrect drawing version or other errors are suspected. Assist with managing drawing revisions and requested by the Supervisor. Notify Supervisor immediately if the use of incorrect drawing version is suspected. Drive continuous improvement by finding ways to enhance quality and performance with shop and field assembly, adjustment, function, aesthetics, costs and maintenance. Recognize defective or faulty workmanship and report issues to Supervisor. Complete all required paperwork accurately as directed by the Supervisor. Follow verbal and written directions from Supervisor. Read/write English and interpret all fabrication and assembly documents including but not limited to bills of material, dimensioned drawings, and other provided information. Red and understand measurements of a standard layout tools such as tape, protractor and caliper in fractions and decimals and degrees. Work in a team environment, and as an individual when needed. Communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates in a professional manner. Exhibit a positive attitude, support teamwork and work in cooperation with co-workers. Comply with company and area procedures and policies. Provides feedback on issues and ideas for improvement. Ability to work overtime and a work schedule other than Monday
  • Friday as needed.
May require travel. Direct and coordinate part-time and temporary workers if instructed by Supervisor. Assure company safety, quality and fabrication standards are followed by assigned workers. Other reasonably related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in a logical and time and cost-efficient manner. Familiarity working with electrical components including VFD, OCS and related cabling. Ability to travel on occasion. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Meticulous and thorough in completing work. Dependable, self-directed and outcome oriented with proven ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Communicates effectively with management, employees, vendors, and customers. Applies sound judgment and problem-solving skills to complex projects and business challenges. Demonstrates initiative, accuracy, and professionalism in producing quality work.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift objects up to 75 pounds. Ability to work overhead (reaching, inspecting, pushing, pulling, etc.) Ability to work in tight spaces (crawling, crouching, kneeling, etc.) Ability to safely ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, etc. while carrying parts and tools. Ability to exert force during fabrication and assembly procedures. Ability to recognize and safely react to hazardous situations.
