Job Description

Great entry level job to start a career in steel fabrication. Work independently in a fast-paced shop environment where each project is different. Work with and assist fabricators in daily shop work flow for all phases of fabricating steel structures like platforms, railings, stairs, ladders, gates, brackets, etc. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Operate forklift, rigging and overhead crane Loading and unloading Layout and cut Grind and finish Organize and track inventory General shop and yard cleaning, organizing and upkeep Work with electric and air power tools Equipment maintenance
Qualifications:
Attention to detail with safe, timely and high-quality work output Basic math skills and ability to follow instructions completely and accurately Able to accurately read a tape measure and understand blueprints Able to work safely in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Welding experience a plus Desire to learn welding and fabrication skills HS diploma or GED required Northern Lights Steel Fabrication offers a competitive salary with attractive benefits including medical/dental, HSA and retirement savings programs.
