Job Description
Plate Roll Technician - Heavy Steel Fabrication Belton, MO $25.00-$30.00+ per hour | Full-Time Shape Steel. Build Quality. Join Our Team. Custom Steel Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Plate Roll Technician to support our fabrication department in Belton, Missouri. This position is responsible for forming heavy steel components using manual plate and angle rolling equipment while maintaining strict quality and dimensional requirements. We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on fabrication work, takes pride in accuracy, and understands how to work safely and efficiently with large steel components. Primary Responsibilities Set up and operate plate rolling and angle rolling equipment Form steel plate and structural materials to required dimensions Read and interpret fabrication drawings and work orders Verify measurements, radiuses, and finished dimensions Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed Perform quality inspections throughout the production process Handle material movement safely and efficiently Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, organized condition Follow company safety procedures and PPE requirements Work independently while supporting production schedules Qualifications Minimum 3 years of plate rolling, angle rolling, or related fabrication experience Experience working with heavy steel materials preferred Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings Strong measuring and layout skills Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing quality work Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand throughout the workday High school diploma or GED preferred Compensation $25.00-$30.00+ per hour based on experience Sign-On Bonus Employee Referral Bonus Overtime opportunities available Schedule Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Additional overtime available when production demands require.
