Job Description

We are looking to fill multiple direct hire positions in our Welding department. The shift we have available is 6am-2:30pm Monday through Friday with mandatory OT and possibly Saturday work. Established in 1954, our Joplin facility is a cornerstone of National Manufacturing Group's multi-plant operations. We are an ISO-certified production facility that specializes in open and closed molding, custom thermoformed plastics, and full-service metal fabrication. Our team builds high-quality composite and steel assemblies for industries including heavy equipment, transportation, and industrial applications. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a MIG Welder. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding techniques, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of our projects. Duties Perform primarily MIG welding on various other materials, ensuring adherence to ASME codes and standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks. Conduct assembly of components, performing measurements using calipers and micrometers where necessary. May operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials around the manufacturing site. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations at all times. Requirements Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on welding and fabrication. Proficiency in MIG welding and other welding techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience using various tools including hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Experience with plasma cutting and operating press brake machines is desired. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating strong communication skills.
