Metal Laborer Job Description This role involves measuring, cutting, and fabricating aluminum in a fast-paced manufacturing shop environment. You will operate fabrication equipment, use a tape measure accurately throughout your shift, and help ensure products meet precise specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities + Measure aluminum materials accurately using a tape measure throughout the entire shift. + Cut aluminum and other metal materials to specified dimensions using appropriate machinery and tools. + Operate fabrication and cutting machines safely and efficiently in a manufacturing shop environment. + Follow production instructions, work orders, and measurement specifications to meet quality and output requirements. + Inspect materials and finished parts to verify accuracy of measurements and overall quality. + Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines and shop procedures. + Report any equipment issues, material defects, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. Essential Skills + Proven ability to measure materials accurately with a tape measure. + Hands-on experience with cutting metal and operating fabrication machinery. + Ability to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing shop environment. + Strong attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and quality output. + Capability to stand, move, and perform repetitive tasks for the duration of the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Certifications or formal schooling related to manufacturing or fabrication are a strong plus. + Familiarity with general fabrication processes and shop practices. + Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work well as part of a production team.
