Hours:
7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday, Overtime as needed We are seeking experienced Assemblers and Fabricators for a 1st shift position in North Kansas City, MO. This locally owned company offers a supportive, family-oriented work environment with excellent opportunities for advancement and skill development. Qualified candidates must be able to pass a measurements and blueprint reading assessment and complete an interview with the employer. This is an associate to hire role. If you are interested, please submit an updated resume or work history. Metal Fabricator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Fabricate specialized metal parts using the necessary equipment/tools to complete assigned jobs efficiently and precisely
  • Read and understand order specifications, engineering drawings, and work orders
  • Use a variety of equipment such as hand tools, band saw, drill press, brakes, grinders, etc.
  • Lay out work using jigs and/or fixtures to accurately fabricate metal parts
  • Inspect and/or correct parts as necessary to meet product specifications, rework finished parts as needed
  • Examine detailed drawings or specifications to find out job, material and equipment requirements
  • Cut, roll, shape, bend, mold, grind metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies
  • Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines
  • Ensure working environment is clean and safe
Metal Fabricator Requirements:
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Forklift Certified (or the ability to obtain certification)
  • Press brake operation and programming are a plus
  • Ability to consistently lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools, as well as fabrication tools to include, but not limited to, band saw, sheer, brake, and grinder
  • Reliable, hardworking, and a desire to learn
  • Ability to accurately read prints and drawings
  • Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/32 of an inch
  • Good basic math skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to accurately count and verify parts quantities
  • Must be able to consistently lift 75 pounds
