Job Description

STEEL FOREMAN
Harlen Construction Company is a growing General Contractor specializing in Commercial and Industrial construction throughout the Midwest. In addition to general contracting services, we self-perform structural steel erection and Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) installation. We are seeking motivated professionals who take pride in quality work, safety, and teamwork. Position Summary Harlen Construction Company is seeking an experienced Steel Foreman to oversee structural steel and PEMB erection operations on Commercial and Industrial construction projects throughout the Midwest. Responsibilities Manage structural steel and PEMB erection activities on one or more projects Supervise Lead Ironworkers and field personnel Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials Oversee field welding, fabrication, and building modifications Ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications Solve field issues and adapt to evolving project conditions Communicate with Project Managers, General Contractors, Owners, and Subcontractors Maintain project schedules and productivity goals Ensure quality workmanship and jobsite safety Qualifications Extensive structural steel erection experience Strong welding and field fabrication background Proven ability to fabricate, modify, and complete building systems in the field Experience managing structural steel and Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) projects Proven leadership and crew management experience Strong blueprint reading and layout skills Valid driver's license Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Midwest as project requirements dictate Preferred Qualifications OSHA 30 Certification CDL (Strongly Recommended) Rigging & Signaling Certifications Welding Certifications What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Performance and bonus opportunities Advancement opportunities within a growing company Professional and team-oriented work environment Harlen Construction Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
