IRONWORKER / STEEL ERECTOR
Harlen Construction Company is a growing General Contractor specializing in Commercial and Industrial construction throughout the Midwest. In addition to general contracting services, we self-perform structural steel erection and Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) installation. We are seeking motivated professionals who take pride in quality work, safety, and teamwork. Position Summary Harlen Construction Company is seeking an Ironworker / Steel Erector to join our structural steel team. This position involves structural steel erection, PEMB installation, welding, rigging, and working safely at heights on Commercial and Industrial construction projects throughout the Midwest. Responsibilities Structural steel erection and installation Connecting, bolting, decking, and PEMB installation Basic field welding and steel modifications Rigging and signaling loads Operating aerial lifts and telehandlers Reading and interpreting construction drawings Maintaining safe work practices and jobsite housekeeping Qualifications Previous structural steel or PEMB experience preferred Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions Ability to perform basic field welding Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Valid driver's license Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Midwest as project requirements dictate Preferred Qualifications OSHA Certifications Rigging & Signaling Certifications Aerial Lift Certifications Telehandler Certifications Welding Certifications What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Overtime opportunities Advancement opportunities Safety-focused work environment Growing company with long-term career potential Harlen Construction Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
