Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced 1st Class Shipfitter to join our shipyard operations in Pascagoula. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on shipfitting experience and be skilled in layout, structural fitting, metric measuring, and torch cutting. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and strict adherence to shipyard safety standards. Candidates must successfully pass a hands-on craft test . Must-Have Qualifications Minimum 3 years of shipfitting experience Ability to pass a hands-on craft test per craft classification Proven experience with structural fitting Proficient in torch cutting steel Strong knowledge of shipfitting techniques and best practices Ability to perform accurate layout and metric measurements (cm, mm, etc.) Knowledge of shipyard safety standards and procedures Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a shipyard or marine construction environment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Strong work ethic with reliable attendance Ability to work overtime when required Experience working as part of a production or fabrication team Key Responsibilities Perform layout and structural fitting tasks accurately Cut steel and materials using a torch Measure and mark materials using metric measurements Ensure all work meets quality standards and job specifications Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules AI Screening Questions (6 Relevant Questions) How many years of hands-on shipfitting experience do you have?
