Job Description

Shipyard Structural Welder - $38/hr + $147 Per Diem Now hiring Shipyard Structural Welders for immediate openings.
Pay:
$38 per hour
Per Diem:
$147 per day for eligible travelers
Location:
Shipyard /
Marine Industrial Schedule:
Full-time, overtime available
Start Date:
ASAP Job Duties:
Perform structural welding in a shipyard environment on steel plates, frames, bulkheads, decks, and other marine structures. Welders will be responsible for fitting, prepping, and welding structural components according to blueprints, weld symbols, and shipyard specifications.
Requirements:
Must have shipyard or heavy structural welding experience Must be able to pass a hair folicle test Must be able to pass a weld test Must be able to read blueprints and weld symbols Experience with FCAW, SMAW, MIG, or dual shield preferred Must have basic hand tools and PPE Must be reliable and able to work overtime as needed Must be able to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and in marine/industrial environments
Preferred Experience:
Shipyard repair or new construction Structural steel welding Bulkheads, decks, hull sections, frames, and brackets Grinding, cutting, fitting, and layout experience OSHA 10 Maritime, fire watch, or shipyard safety training is a plus
