Job Description

PrideStaff is seeking a skilled and consistent MIG Welder for a metal fabrication company in Matthews, NC . The qualified candidates must have three (3) or more years of experience MIG Welding . Knowledge and experience with structural steel and I-beams is necessary. The desired candidate will be hardworking; have strong attention to detail; and the ability to work well in a team-based, collaborative environment.
Pay Rate:
$22-24/hr. based on skill and experience.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with weekend overtime potential as needed. What You Will Do Set up column preparations, cut and install PVC drainpipes, and install conduit based on job specifications. Perform high-quality structural welding, including welding web stiffeners and end plates to beams. Interpret drawings and blueprints to measure beams, check punched holes for accuracy, and cope or taper beams. Track plate inventory and order necessary fabrication materials from the supply room. Maintain a clean, organized work area, participate in safety training, and collaborate with team members. What You Will Bring Strong experience using MIG and Plasma welding machines on steel and aluminum. Ability to accurately read a tape measure, interpret blueprints, and follow precise technical specifications. High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred; completion of an apprenticeship or relevant on-the-job training is a plus. Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical movements like climbing, bending, and squatting.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $22.00 - $24.00
