About Us Car Restoration Guys is a specialty restoration and resto-mod shop in Wilmington, NC bringing iconic American classics back to life — International Scouts, early Ford Broncos, Dodge Power Wagons, and similar vehicles. We do thorough, honest work: proper metal, proper fit, builds that last. We're a tight team doing serious work and we're expanding. The Role We're looking for a skilled Metal Fabricator who can handle the full range of fabrication work that comes with classic vehicle restoration — from rust repair and patch panels to custom brackets, roll cages, suspension mounts, and one-off structural work. You'll be working on vehicles that matter to our clients, so fit, finish, and structural integrity are non-negotiable. What You'll Do ∙ Fabricate and weld patch panels, floor sections, rocker replacements, and structural repairs ∙ Build custom brackets, mounts, skid plates, and chassis reinforcements ∙ Work from measurements, sketches, or engineer solutions on the fly ∙ Fit and tack body panels in coordination with our paint tech ∙ Operate MIG, TIG, and plasma cutting equipment ∙ Maintain a clean, organized fab area and proper material inventory What We're Looking For ∙ 7+ years of fabrication and welding experience, automotive preferred ∙ Proficiency in MIG welding required; TIG a strong plus ∙ Experience with both structural and cosmetic metal work ∙ Ability to read a tape, think in three dimensions, and problem-solve without a blueprint ∙ Classic or vintage vehicle experience a significant plus ∙ Works well in a collaborative shop environment Compensation & Benefits ∙ $28-$42/hr depending on experience ∙ Full-time, Monday-Friday ∙ Paid time off ∙ Shop built around craft, not throughput To Apply Apply here on Indeed or email restore@carrestorationguy.com.
