Metal Works is seeking an experienced and motivated Ironworker Foreman to lead field crews on structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects throughout the United States. This position requires a strong leader who can manage jobsite operations, maintain high safety standards, and keep projects on schedule while traveling for extended periods of time. The Ironworker Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating crews installing structural steel, reinforcing steel, miscellaneous metals, stairs, railings, decking, and related components on commercial and industrial construction projects. The role combines field supervision, safety enforcement, productivity management, and communication with project leadership. Responsibilities Lead and supervise ironworker crews on active construction sites Coordinate daily work activities to maintain production schedules Read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and shop drawings Ensure all work is completed safely and according to company and OSHA standards Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce PPE and fall protection requirements Coordinate crane operations, rigging, steel placement, and material staging Monitor workmanship and ensure quality installation of steel and metal components Communicate project progress, manpower needs, and jobsite issues with superintendents and project managers Train and mentor crew members and apprentices Maintain a professional and productive work environment on-site Travel to project locations across the United States for extended durations Requirements Prior experience as an Ironworker Foreman or Lead Ironworker Strong knowledge of structural steel erection and miscellaneous metals installation Ability to read blueprints and structural drawings Understanding of rigging, crane signaling, bolting, welding, and layout procedures Strong leadership and communication skills OSHA knowledge and commitment to jobsite safety Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions Willingness to travel for weeks or months at a time depending on project needs Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Welding certifications are a plus Experience managing multi-person crews on commercial or industrial projects CDL is a plus but not required What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Per diem and travel accommodations when applicable Opportunity to work on projects nationwide Long-term career growth with a growing company Team-oriented work environment focused on safety and quality L.J.
