Job Description
Steel Detailer Skillforce has teamed up with one of the leaders in structural steel fabrication and erection to find a Steel Detailer to work out of their Randolph, NJ office. This is a full-time position with this company. Steel Detailer Responsibilities Develop detailed drawings and plans for steel structures using AutoCAD and other drafting tools Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of plans Check and verify design calculations, specifications, and other technical documents Ensure all work complies with industry standards, codes, and regulations Communicate with clients and suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure timely completion of projects Participate in the review and approval process for projects, making recommendations for improvements as needed Steel Detailer Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Steel Detailer Experience with Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, SDS/2 or similar 3D modeling/BIM software Strong understanding of steel fabrication methods, welding, and erection processes Proficiency in mathematics, including geometry and trigonometry
