Job Description
Midland Machinery is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder (MIG) to fabricate parts and sub-assemblies for new paving machines. This position is full-time, 1st shift, and is eligible for paid health insurance & other benefits at start. We take pride in our machines, our shop, and our culture and are seeking someone who is looking for rewarding work as part of our team that is making final product here in Buffalo. Position reports to the shop foreman. Company will train on specifics of fabricating needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Fabricate, plan layout, assemble and weld according to blueprints, engineer's drawings and specifications with little to no supervision. Layout, Fit, Tack and Weld all work pieces together. Ensuring all dimensions are correct to specified drawings. Take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws. Correct fabrication mistakes.SKILLS REQUIRED
Must be able to read, understand and work independently from drawings, blueprints and fabrication instructions. Understand and use basic shop math and measuring tools. Ability to read calipers, micrometers, tape measurer and square. Utilization of hand and shop power tools.MIDLAND MACHINERY OFFERS
Day Shift- 8 hr. Work Day (6:00am to 2:30pm) Weekly Pay
- OT is sometimes available.
