Job Description
Job Summary Responsible for performing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. While executing the assigned responsibilities, the EVS Tech, OR will have contact/interactions with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff.
Specialty Units:
Work includes providing a safe care environment for patients, and staff (visitors as appropriate to setting) within the surgical services department achieved by demonstrating the principles of cleaning, disinfection and quality assurance toward the reduction of harmful pathogens for the benefit of patients, visitors, and staff.Other:
Responsibilities may also include work in the Environmental Services Tech I classification. Essential Key Job Responsibilities Responsible for cleaning and sanitization of the surgical environment prior to and post-surgical procedures Assists with and responsible for cleaning and maintaining instrumentation and equipment Assists and responsible for maintaining inventory supplies Responsible for the retrieval and delivery of requested supplies/equipment Operates equipment/skills pertinent to practice area Demonstrates compliance with all hospital wide competencies Initiates communication to OR Clinical Manager and Director of EVS in areas that need to be addressed Performs other related duties as assigned Performs job duties of EVS Specialty Tech Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Training, Required Licensure and Certifications Experience in a surgical environment is preferred. BLS required Must become a Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician within 1 year.Similar remote jobs
