Job Description

We are located in
STRYKER OHIO 43557. PLEASE
read this posting completely. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 am
  • 5 pm Saturday 8 am
  • 12 pm (optional overtime, see below for details) Being a fabricator at Stryker Welding is more than just following prints.
We make and fix MANY different things. We've been in business since 1913. Within that time we have repaired a kitchen ladle, built huge injection mold machine platforms, and everything in between. Employees at Stryker Welding need to be able to perform the following tasks while being efficient, and mindful of the task at hand.
  • read tape measures both metric and standard knowing the 16ths
  • know how to read dial calipers
  • operate an angle grinder safely and efficiently
  • be willing to learn
  • must be able to accept constructive criticism Things that are a plus, but not required right away include:
  • Some DC and AC wiring experience
  • know how to scarf and cut with acetylene torch
  • be able to smooth welded pipe joints with angle grinder
  • have a good memory to remember dimensions and procedures
  • use a press brake and know how to bend sheet and plate properly
  • read 2D and 3D prints and build from them
  • flame weld/brazing/soldering capability
  • know the differences between pipe, tube, DOM, S beam, W beam, etc.
  • know metal finish differences ex. hot rolled, cold rolled, p+o, etc.
  • be able to operate a manual lathe, and manual vertical mill safely
  • know how to TIG weld aluminum, steel, and stainless.
Stryker Welding is a big and small job shop. We have an hourly rate that we charge our customers. If the customer is not impressed nor satisfied with our work, it would be wrong to expect them to pay our shop rate. We MUST do our best work in an efficient manner in order to be a successful business. We offer health benefits. We pay half, employees pay half. Other benefits of working at Stryker Welding include:

  • Learning during work. We have a weekly meeting on Wednesdays where we all have lunch together that is supplied by the company, then go over anything shop related that the employees would like to learn about.
  • Saturdays we work 8am-12pm optional for employees unless we are busy enough that we require overtime to be worked.
We will give at least a day notice on if we need overtime to be worked. If the employee had prior plans, we understand, and will not force you to work. Thank you for your interest.
