Tubing Mechanic

Tubing fabrication role responsible for planning, cutting, bending, fitting, and testing stainless steel tubing for compressor packages. Job Requirements Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to plan tubing layout to fit compressor package connections Ability to cut stainless metal tubing to required lengths Ability to bead, burr, and flare tubing Ability to de-burr inside diameter after cutting Ability to bend tubing by hand using bending tools to match required routing Ability to connect tubing using appropriate fittings and secure tubing as required Ability to check tubing connections and perform air testing on tubing runs Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals Preferred Skills Experience working with stainless steel tubing in compressor package applications Experience routing and installing tubing to specification Experience performing tubing connection checks and air testing Experience using hand tools and tubing bending tools in industrial assembly environments Experience with fitting installation and tubing support methods Job Responsibilities Plan tubing jobs by laying out stainless metal tubing to fit compressor package connections Cut tubing to required lengths using hand tools Bead, burr, and flare tubing De-burr tubing after cutting Bend tubing by hand using bending tools to conform to required routing on compressor packages Connect tubing to compressor packages using appropriate fittings Secure tubing as required Check tubing connections for accuracy and fit Air test all tubing runs

Pay:
