McElroy Manufacturing is hiring a Fabrication Finisher to join our team in a climate-controlled machining facility—because we believe comfort matters while you work! This is a 3rd shift opening - Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6am - 6pm. You will also receive 11.5% shift premium on all hours worked. What You'll Be Doing As a Fabrication Finisher, you'll help bring our products to life by ensuring every part meets our high-quality standards: Deburring and smoothing machined parts Washing and preparing components for the next steps Using hand and power tools like grinders and sanders Inspecting parts for quality and precision Supporting a safe, clean, and efficient shop environment If you enjoy working with your hands, taking pride in details, and seeing the results of your work—you'll thrive here! What We're Looking For We're looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to learn: Experience in a fabrication or shop environment (preferred) Machining knowledge or training is a plus Familiarity with tools like hand grinders, belt sanders, and measuring tape Forklift experience is helpful Basic shop math skills A strong work ethic and attention to detail Don't have every skill yet? Safety-Sensitive Designation:
Jobs which involve one or more tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others are considered safety-sensitive. This position is safety-sensitive because, in addition to the essential functions, it also involves performing one or more of the following essential tasks or duties: The handling, packaging, processing, storage, disposal or transport of hazardous material The operation of a motor vehicle, other vehicle, equipment, machinery or power tools Repairing, maintaining or monitoring the performance or operation of any equipment, machinery or manufacturing process, the malfunction or disruption of which could result in injury or property damage The operation, maintenance or oversight of critical services and infrastructure including, but not limited to, electric, gas, and water utilities, power generation or distribution. The extraction, compression, processing, manufacturing, handling, packaging, storage, disposal, treatment or transport of potentially volatile, flammable, combustible materials, elements, chemicals or any other highly regulated component. Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while running production, inspecting work and machines and checking procedures. Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
